Using Dialogue to Address Contentious Issues
Many of us work in contexts, where our colleagues, clients and other stakeholders hold strong opinions on a range of contentious issues. If having constructive conversations aiming at deepening understandings of contentious issues while also sensitively challenging divisive opinions is difficult in your organisation or company then this training is for you and your team.

We live in an increasingly polarised world, where we encounter people we fundamentally disagree with on issues that are important to us. These conversations can be very challenging and leave us feeling angry and hurt. They can also harm our relationships with people, we care for and people we have to work with.

In this workshop, we will explore how we can use dialogue to unpack contentious opinions. We will focus on how we can get a better understanding of other people's divisive views and how we can sensitively challenge them without turning the conversation into a conflict.
This interactive workshop is delivered onsite or online and takes 5 ½ hours or 2 x 3 hours.

After this session, you will have a better understanding of:
- How to have conversations that help you get a deeper understanding of people’s contentious points of view.
- How to have conversations that support people in reviewing their views.
- How interpersonal skills can support these conversations.
